just one more thing

for the first time in 2 weeks I've had a chance to browse the web for longer than 30 minutes in an internet cafe. Today I'm in teresa's office, in a very nice meeting room with free wi-fi access. While writing the last couple of lines though, I've realised I should apply to the title of "saddest living bastard": for once in my life I get a month off, what do I do? spend it in an office! I think I need a break, so no post tomorrow. For the thousands of you who just can't survive without my blog, here are some cool links to keep your scrolling wheels rolling.

Have fun and don't stay too long in the office (for those of you who are working-or pretend to)

A bit of wi-fi won't hurt...

day 10

It looks like even though we haven't even found a flat yet the first batch of visitors are on their way here. For those of you who know them part of the Fallas clan (emine & marco) are coming to barcelona. I hope this'll give me a break from visiting flats. The thing is that they are coming by ferry from civitavecchia. At first I thought it was some sort of joke but it's not... they will actually spend nearly 24 hours on a ferry to come over. I think it deserves to be mentioned for 2 reasons: dedication and total lack of planning -of course, buying your plane ticked the day before leaving doesn't ensure you to have the best possible rate. Again, at first I thought they were kidding but on the other hand that's why I like my friends, they still manage to surprise me and just comfort me in the idea they're all crazy!

In terms of news from barcelona, I am starting to get used to it. I have to say (and I hate cliches) it has taken me a bit to get used to see people having a beer with their sandwich at 10.00am while I'm sipping my cortado or smelling cigars only to realise the guy sweeping behind me is actually enjoying a cigar while doing it. No major culture shock, just minor differences that make you realise you're in a different place now.

Being very jealous of alvise's pictures I have published a couple myself just to remind you who I am. You can check them out on http://homepage.mac.com/iacopo/PhotoAlbum7.html OK, you won't see anything you haven't seen before but at least I can pretend to provide you with multi-media content ;o)

Well, time for me to leave you, I've got a flat to go visit.

P.S. did I mention it's still raining here? One more day of this and I'm jumping on the first plane to london!
